It’s the IPL 2017, and the auctions started on February 20, 2017. Well, even though the Indian players did not get any value till now, few of the overseas players have earned a fortune. Ben Stokes and Tymal Mills made a huge fortune in the IPL auction 2017.
The all rounder Ben Stokes was captured by Rising Pune Supergiants for a hefty amount of Rs 14.5 Crore. The original base price for Ben was 2 Crore. Well, this made Stokes most costly player of this season so far. But Stokes won’t be playing all the matches for this season. It has been said that Stokes will play only the initial 14 matches for IPL 2017. He then has to return for the matches scheduled with Ireland and South Africa.
Moving on, Tymal Mills was another player that was in limelight. Interestingly, Mills was snatched by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whooping sum of Rs 12 Crore. Even though the amount is less than Stokes, Mills got 20 times more than his base amount. Originally, Mills’ base amount was Rs 50 Lakhs. This indicated that Mills was more popular than Stokes and the bidding was more tough than expected. Both the players were highlighted in the India v England series that took place recently. Both of them did an outstanding performance in Test, ODI, as well as T20.
Well, Mills and Stokes, both from England, made their fortune in this season of IPL 2017. Let us see as to how many more players make a fortune.
