Middle order batsmen support India

The second Test match of the India–Australia series has been taking twist and turns. The match is being played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Well, the ground is well known for its batting pitch. But shockingly, we have seen any such impressive performance so far yet neither from Australian team nor from the home team. Well, at the end of day 3 of the Test, the middle-order batsmen Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara.

Earlier, team India won the toss and elected to bat first. As this is a batting pitch, all were expecting the Indian batsmen to shower a heavy rainfall of runs. Unfortunately, Australia managed to dismiss the whole Indian team at 189. Nathan Lyon did an impressive job here by taking 8 out of 10 Indian players for his team. When it was time for Australia to bat, Indian bowlers struggled hard. They tried their best and were able to manage to stop the Kangaroos at 276.

Now comes day 3 of the match!!! Indian Test openers for this match Lokesh Rahul and Abhinav Mukund started well. But this not for long!!! Australia grabbed the first wicket in form of Mukund and India lost the first wicket on 39. Later, Lokesh Rahul kept his momentum and was able to successfully hit a half century. Soon he too was dismissed at 51 followed by Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja for 15 and 2 respectively.

Now all the pressure was on the middle-order batsmen Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara. So far, both of them have successfully supported the Indian team and are trying their best to bring the team up and set a good target for the Kangaroos. Rahane is playing 51 while Pujara is holding his position at 84.

Well, all the fate of the Indian team lies on these two batsmen and their performance. We hope all the best for both of them as well as team India.
