There are new Indian players beating some real tough contenders on the international platform. The currently held super series in Singapore was accomplished by B Sai Praneeth. The match was ended with result figures of 17-21, 21-17, and 21-12 which were lead by Praneeth on Sunday
It was the first glimpse of the Sai Praneeth in a super series final which is termed as biggest sports events of the international badminton platform. In the previous years of this series, the renowned player such as Saina Nehwal, Srikanth, and PV Sindhu have already being honored with the crown of the Singapore Open Super Series.
Till Sunday countries such as Denmark, Indonesia, and China represented on the court. Sai Praneeth lost the very first game by 17-21, but later he showed a great energy which resulted in the figures from 1-6 directly to 7-7. His extreme efforts brought him back into the contest.
Srikanth from his side tried and superb smash to take the lead but Praneeth maintained the leads and got the break 11-10 and won the 10 of the 14 points.
Praneeth lead of 18-16 gave great responsiveness to overcome Shrikanth who was totally dependent on his efficient smashes and net area play when the opponent was near the net for a sublime point. The consecutive three-game points by Praneeth switched the scoreboard to shift 21-17 which led to the final game win with well-balanced performance. The opening of the Praneeth of 10-4 gave him a great start while Shrikanth errors play gave an advantage to the opponent Praneeth.
Shrikanth has some good experience as he has two final wins in his account; one from the 2015 India open and 2014 China Open. Srikanth didn’t look settled from the very first game of the tournament. It was Praneeth’s all extra efficient play and hard smashed strokes that never gave a chance to Shrikanth.
Later after the match, Praneeth said “it gives a great feeling”.” We both practiced together which made us well educated about our game and it was a very tough battle to win.
The 24-year-old Praneeth said my hard work came out in the form of tournament results.
