RCB makes the lowest score in IPL history

The tenth season of IPL has been fantastic so far. The recent match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was so far the best match for the country, except for the RCB fans. Even though having the best batting lineup of all the time, RCB managed to score only 49 runs in the inning at Eden Gardens against KKR. Having players such as Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, and AB de Villiers, the world is expecting a class form of batting.

On the other hand, the highest score of the IPL has also been registered by RCB in 2013 when playing against Pune Warriors at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Let us have a look at the lowest scores of IPL.

Lowest totals

49– By RCB at Eden Gardens against KKR, IPL 2017

The recent match between RCB and KKR was a nightmare for the RCB and its fans. After stopping KKR at 131, it was obvious and expected that RCB would chase the target easily. But Nathan Coulter-Nile, Chris Woakes, and Colin de Grandhomme made it impossible for the RCB batsmen to chase the target by grabbing 3 wickets each. The highest score by a batsman from RCB was made by Kedar Jadhav (9). None of the batsmen was able to score a double figure.

58– By Rajasthan Royals at Cape Town against RCB, IPL 2009

In spite of RCB scoring 133 runs, RR was unable to chase the target and resulted in RCB to get a 75-run win. Yusuf Pathan, Tyron Henderson, and Ravindra Jadeja were the top scorers from RR with 11 runs each.

67– By KKR at Wankhede Stadium against Mumbai Indian, IPL 2008

In the opening match of IPL 2008, MI gave KKR a nightmare by closing their batting lineup at 67 runs. Ajit Agarkar and Sourav Ganguly were the top scorers from KKR with 15 runs each.

For now, the tenth season of IPL is still on and we may witness more of such records in the future. So stay tuned for hell lot of fun that will be taking place in this IPL.
