The Vivo Indian Premier League 2017 is on the verge of ending. And the first quarterfinal is due today. Yes!!! You guessed it right!!! We are talking about Mumbai Indians vs Rising Supergiants Pune. The two teams have played tough against each other in this season of IPL. But the results have been in favor of Rising Supergiants Pune. Let us have a look at the overall condition for today’s match.

Looking at the history, Rising Supergiants Pune is the only team that has defeated Mumbai Indians both the time in this IPL. But this fact will not be enough for the first qualifier match that is held today (May 16, 2017) at Wankhede Stadium. Seeing the last few games of Rising Supergiants Pune, it has won five out of their last six matches.

Speaking about probability, the overall conditions will be favoring the batsmen. The past game on Wankhede witnessed an almost-achieved chase of 231 runs. But, the dew factor also plays its role. It benefits the chasing team to obtain the victory. The probable 11 for Mumbai Indians will be Parthiv Patel (wk), Lendl Simmons, Rohit Sharma (c), Ambati Rayudu, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Harbhajan Singh, Mitchell McClenaghan, Jasprit Bumrah, Lasith Malinga.

On the other hand, the probable 11 for Rising Supergiants Pune will be Ajinkya Rahane, Rahul Tripathi, Steven Smith (c), Manoj Tiwary, MS Dhoni (wk), Usman Khawaja/Lockie Ferguson, Daniel Christian, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat, Adam Zampa. Rising Supergiants Pune will obviously miss the presence of Ben Stokes. All the eyes will be on the performance of current three most valuable players of the team—Ajinkya Rahane, Steven Smith, and MS Dhoni.

On the other side, the performance of Ambati Rayudu and Nitish Rana will be a game changing factor. Apart from this, in the balling frontline, Mitchell McClenaghan, Jasprit Bumrah, Harbhajan Singh, and Lasith Malinga will have a positive impact on the team.

For now, all we can do is assume and take sides for either one of the team. Stay tuned for more updates and do not miss to watch the first qualifier match of the Vivo Indian Premier League 2017, today (May 16, 2017) at 8:00 PM IST.
