EJ Floreal earns scholarship with Kentucky Wildcats

| August 29, 2014 | 0 Comments

Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari has awarded walk-on guard/forward EJ Floreal a scholarship for the 2014-15 college basketball season, according to KSR’s Matt Jones.

Floreal, the son of UK track coach Eldrick Floreal,  accepted an offer to walk on in the 2013-14 season for UK.

In 2012, UK hired Edrick to be the school’s new track and field coach, and as a result, his son E.J. Floreal ended up transferring to Dunbar High School. He was also one of the better high school basketball players in California over the last two seasons.

Floreal made ESPN’s all-state honorable mention list after averaging 14 points and seven rebounds as a junior for Palo Alto High School.
