The 4th of July weekend is here. Before departing to celebrate with family this weekend, Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari posted a brief update on his team via twitter:
Our guys have been really committed to each other this summer. I’ve been really impressed with the leadership, the competitiveness and the togetherness at such an early stage. They are all going to take a few days off for the holiday before they come back and we get ready to work and prepare for a tough summer tour, which will begin in early August.
Our team wishes everybody a happy Fourth of July. Please be safe in celebrating.
Also, UK Deputy Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy has announced via twitter the date of this year’s UK Alumni Game:
Happy 4th of July! We are working on this year’s @KentuckyMBB alumni game. Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 24.
