Irfan Pathan and Ishant Sharma get no bidders in IPL 2017

The upcoming 2017 IPL T20 season is on the edge to start after its biddings and scheduled plans. The best big bash cricketing segment has loads of new implementations and new fresh faces to be seen on fields.

Bidding for the trending players and majorly all rounders was the prime focus of the franchise owners. In this overall scenario of the auction, some of the players were part of bidding but not a single team owner pushed forward for choosing some great seamers like Irfan Pathan and Ishant Sharma.

Irfan Pathan being not connected to the international play for some duration might be the reason in the brains of the bidders. But on the other side, the awestruck bowler and well-established batsmen Pathan performed magnificently in the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament where he was a prominent run contributor for the West Zone as well as bowled a spectacular inning by dismissing Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan, and Rishabh Pant.

Pathan who was termed as an ‘IPL specialist’ had a base price of Rs 50 Lakh. Due to his spectacular all round abilities, it was for sure expected that he will be the chief attraction. But at the end, Irfan Pathan was left unsold. Pathan being a perfect tailored made cricketer for the T20 format was easily replaced by the non-experienced heads with more bidding value.

Talking about the Indian pacer Ishant Sharma with the base price of 2 Crore remained unsold too, but he is into the playing squad against Australia.
Irfan Pathan who has huge fan followers in the country too twitted an emotional message for the fans. Sad, but it is the truth…! After all, performance plays a vital role in cricket.
