Shortly after defeating Champagne Chalons-Reims by a score of 77-72, the Kentucky basketball team cooled off by completing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
The Ice Bucket Challenge, a campaign started by the ALS Association, essentially involves pouring a bucket of ice water over your head and challenging others to do the same or make a donation to fight ALS within twenty-four hours.
John Calipari was challenged by former Cat Eric Bledsoe who completed the challenge himself on Friday, which you can see below.
Instead of completing the challenge alone, Calipari decided to involve his entire team. Before completing the challenge, Calipari made sure to challenge Kentucky’s 2012 national title team.
Following is the video of Calipari and his players completing the challenge on the beach.
Despite completing the challenge within 24 hours, Calipari said afterward that he and his wife still plan to make a donation to their local ALS chapter.
On behalf of @KentuckyMBB, Ellen and I are also going to donate to our local ALS chapter. I encourage other community members to do the same
