After 17 months of rehab and being away from basketball, Nerlens Noel is looking great in the NBA Orlando Summer League. His surgically-repaired knee doesn’t seem to be bothering him at all, and Noel id playing with the same hustle in fire that burned in him in his limited time with the Kentucky Wildcats.
In three games, Noel is averaging 13.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, three blocks, two steals and 1.7 assists in 25 minutes per game. His elite shot-blocking ability has translated well from college into the NBA, and his offensive game looks better than it ever did at UK.
Noel had another solid game Wednesday night with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks to help lead the Philadelphia 76ers to the win over the Brooklyn Nets:
On Tuesday, the 76ers defeated the Houston Rockets 92-71.Noel also chipped in with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the 76ers.
Noel had a great NBA debut on Saturday in his first NBA game. Here’s his first NBA bucket, followed by a highlight-reel and-1.
Noel won’t be in action again until Friday in the Sixers’ Orlando Summer League finale.
