Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller reinjured his right, throwing shoulder during practice Monday. According to Gil Brandt of NFL.com, the Buckeyes expect Miller to miss the entire 2014 college football season.

Miller threw for 2,094 yards and 24 touchdowns and ran for 12 more scores in leading the Buckeyes to the Discover Orange Bowl this past season. The Buckeyes open their season Aug. 30 against Navy in Baltimore. If Miller is unable to play in the opener, redshirt freshman J.T. Barrett likely would get the start.

This is a terrible loss for both the Buckeyes and Miller. He’s lost his senior season, but the possibility of a medical redshirt, and a return to the Buckeyes in 2015, means they can still have a happy ending.
